Gathering of Ships in The Gulf of Tomini

 

In the event of sailing pass parade which was hosted by the Indonesian Navy, many countries were invited to join and on the preparation before the event, half of the invited countries had sent their warship to prepare together with the Indonesian Navy. Indonesian Navy has deployed 27 of its warship to enliven the event. Aside from the warship, there were 100 local boats, 17 fishing boats, 25 outrigger canoes, 51 yachts and some government ships. Those ships came from many different branches of Indonesia’s government such as the Police Navy Forces, Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (Indonesian Institute of Sciences), Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (Ministy of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Badan SAR Nasional (Search and Rescue Agency) and BAKAMLA (Indonesian Maritime Security Agency). In addition, there were also some other important figures from foreign countries such as the ambassadors and foreign navy head staff will be staying in Tomini Bay for about 3 days.
