You are able to reach Tomini bay via 2 routes. Either from Gorontalo or from Palu.
From Gorontalo, there are 2 ways you can get to Tomini bay. The first way is through Gorontalo harbour. You can rent a vehicle from Jalaluddin Gorontalo Airport to Gorontalo harbour. From Gorontalo Harbour, you take Tuna Tomini ferry to Wakai, Togean. Tuna Tomini ferry takes around 12 hours to reach Wakai island and the ferry only departs on Tuesday and Friday on 6 PM WITA.

 

For the second route from the Airport, You need to take a bus and travel to Ampana via Poso for around 10 hours long. From Ampana, you only need to take Puspita Sari or Lumbalumba boat toward Wakai for 4-5 hours. Both of these boat operate every Monday, Wednesday,and Saturday at around 10AM WITA. Beside that, you can also use Tuna Tomini ferry from Ampana every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday on the same time as Puspita Sari or Lombalumba boat.
